BBQ Pulled Pork

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 pounds pork shoulder (also known as pork butt)
  • ¼ cup Spice Rack Co's Backyard BBQ seasoning
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Your favorite BBQ sauce for serving
  • Hamburger buns for serving
  • Coleslaw for serving

Instructions:

  1. Rub the pork shoulder all over with the Backyard BBQ seasoning.
  2. In a large slow cooker, mix the apple cider vinegar, water, Worcestershire sauce, honey or brown sugar, and minced garlic.
  3. Place the seasoned pork into the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, until the pork is very tender and shreds easily with a fork.
  5. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred the meat using two forks.
  6. Skim off any excess fat from the juices left in the slow cooker.
  7. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix with the juices.
  8. Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns, topped with your favorite BBQ sauce and coleslaw.
